If you follow the 小百岳 gem mission route it will lead you to a farm area where the real peak of 鐵砧山 should be but the path is blocked off by a chain and even though it would be easy to cross it feels clear they do not wish people to enter here. It would be good if the mission gpx was updated to exclude this part since the gem can be collected beside the windmill already.

鐵砧山三角點仍因日光牧場動物防疫政策暫不開放，門口有另一張告示牌是歐都納完登小百岳活動認證點移至鐵砧山雕塑公園的告示 -
前面開一條路的路況好走 走到這邊後要往這裡
這裡有許多鄭成功的傳說軼事與遺址，充滿歷史故事。登山步道林木蔥鬱，涼爽舒適，與永信運動公園、雕塑廣場、中正公園相連，可欣賞雕塑藝術之美，山頂寬闊平坦，視野極佳，可遠眺外埔、大甲與大安港，清領時期「鐵砧晚霞」名列台灣十二勝景之一，是中部熱門的休閒旅遊景點。
